At Ortegon Prosthodontics, we are committed to your safety, the safety of our staff and the community at large. We want to let you know the steps we are taking to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
We are not only following the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) guidelines but we have been in close contact with officials from the University of Texas and the Methodist Hospital who have recommended following standard and transmission-based guidelines.
Some of the new protocols you will see in our practice are: online, phone and on-site triage questionnaires, no-contact temperature checks, elimination of congregations in the waiting room, air flow purification systems in addition to the already in place strict protocols for disinfection and sterilization.
All of our team continues to follow thorough hand washing techniques and have placed numerous antibacterial dispensers within our office for patients as well staff to use. We continue to employ our office protocol for cleaning each operatory before and after every patient. This includes countertops, dental chairs, instruments and lights.
We want to reassure you that we are proactively working to continue employing high standards of disinfection and sterilization in our office. We are currently following the Texas Dental Board and Harris County mandates of seeing exclusively dental emergencies, we expect to resume normal activities on May 11, 2020.
